OPPO has long been reported to be working on foldable cellphones. At the end of last month, the corporation affirmed the same. Today, we get some critical details on the company’s first foldable from a credible leaker.
OPPO’s first foldable smartphone, according to Digital Chat Station, will be similar to the Galaxy Z Fold series. In other words, the phone will expand to become a tablet. This device will have an interior foldable OLED display measuring 7.8-inch to 8-inch. This display is supposed to have a resolution of 2K+ pixels and a refresh rate of 120Hz. It will also include a 50MP Sony IMX766 main camera on the back and a 32MP front-facing camera. It will feature a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for biometrics.
The Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chipset will power the device. Finally, the source claims that it will run ColorOS 12, which is based on Android 11.
Currently, we do not have any additional information about this gadget. Although OPPO announced its plans to release foldable phones, it did not specify a timetable. However, the company’s first tablet is expected to be released in the first half of 2022.
