Xiaomi is preparing to introduce its Redmi Note 11 series smartphones in China. The launch date has been set for October 28, 2021, and the Redmi Watch 2 will be available at the same time. The smartwatch’s pricing and color options have been leaked online ahead of its formal introduction, according to the Chinese e-commerce behemoth JD.com.
According to the JD.com listing, the Redmi Watch 2 costs 399 Yuan in China. This now converts to around Rs. 4,694 in Indian currency. The smartwatch will be available in Elegant Black, Space Blue, and Ivory.
The Redmi Watch 2 will have a 1.6-inch AMOLED display with a higher screen-to-body ratio than its predecessor. The watch will have a 5ATM water-resistance rating and a longer battery life.
The new wristwatch will include a variety of health and fitness tracking capabilities, such as sleep and health monitoring. The watch is also rumoured to include a SpO2 sensor for measuring blood oxygen levels as well as a built-in GPS for precise tracking.
The smartwatch appears to be available just in the Chinese market for the time being. However, we can anticipate a launch in India in the near future. When it does, it is possible that it will be priced similarly in the Indian market as well. For the time being, these are just assumptions that should be taken with a grain of salt.
The smartwatch, like its predecessor, will primarily focus on fitness-related features. As a result, we can anticipate numerous sports modes and the like. On the smartwatch, we will also see a customized RTOS, which is common in smartwatches at this time.
