The Redmi Watch 2 was launched in China today, alongside the Redmi Note 11 series – the Redmi Note 11, Note 11 Pro, and Note 11 Pro Plus. The Redmi Watch 2 is the sequel to the Redmi Watch, which was released in India earlier this year. The Redmi Watch 2 adds features such as an AMOLED display, a bigger screen, built-in GPS, and much more. Let’s take a look at the latest Watch 2’s price, characteristics, and features.
The Redmi Watch 2 retains its predecessor’s square-shaped dial with a tactile button on the right side. The current model, on the other hand, has a larger 1.6-inch AMOLED display with 500 nits of brightness and 100 watch faces. It is waterproof to 5ATM and weighs only 31 grams.
Furthermore, the smart wearable includes capabilities such as a 24/7 heart rate monitor, step counter, sleep tracking, and it supports up to 117 sports activities, a significant increase from the Redmi Watch’s 11 sports modes. The low-cost wearable also has built-in GPS, so you can take the watch and leave your phone at home to track your run or walk.
The watch can display notifications from the phone and has NFC for payments in China. The watch is merely 31 grams in weight and comes with replaceable straps. The Redmi Watch 2 is rated to last up to 12 days on a single charge and has a 5ATM water-resistant rating.
The Redmi Watch 2 will come in three colors: Elegant Black, Space Blue, and Ivory. In China, it costs CNY 399 (about Rs 4,700). It is now available for pre-order on JD.com in China, and it will be ready for purchase on November 1.
