The global electric vehicle market has recently experienced a surge. This has prompted smartphone companies to broaden their interests into this industry, and it appears that Realme is also preparing to join the EV bandwagon.
The latest speculation about the Chinese smartphone brand joining the EV industry comes from RushLane, who discovered a firm trademark. Previously, we reported on brands such as Apple, Xiaomi, Oppo, and even Huawei expanding into the vehicle business, and it now appears that another Chinese firm is following suit. In India, the corporation has registered a new trademark for “vehicles, devices for mobility by land, air, or water.”
Notably, its former parent company, Oppo, recently introduced its Carlink Smart Car solution, while Xiaomi earlier this year announced a ten billion US dollar investment in its electric vehicle project. As a result, it’s not surprising that Realme is looking into prospects in the EV industry. Realme Mobile Telecommunications (Shenzhen) Co Ltd filed this trademark when it first introduced its first smartphone in the Indian market.
Let’s see what realme brings for us in the category of electric vehicles and we will be definitely seeing news in the future regarding this so stay tuned on our website.
