Motorola appears to be ready to launch a new 5G camera phone, adding to its wide G-series with the Moto G51 5G, which is likely to be a successor to the Moto G50 5G. The new phone has received many certifications, which always indicates an impending launch in a variety of regions – the most recent of which, according to an Indian source, Abhishek Yadav, is that the Moto G51 5G has received the SIRIM Certification of Malaysia. The smartphone is listed with the model number XT2171-2.
The entry on the commission indicates ‘Moto G51 5G’ alongside its model number XT2171-2, which confirms the name and the fact that the phone will be released soon, but does not reveal any details.
A Geekbench listing last month suggested that the Moto G51 5G could be equipped with a Snapdragon 750G mobile platform — this mid-range ARM-based SoC would lead to a mid-range 5G phone. According to the Geekbench listing, the Moto G51 5G smartphone, which is being developed under the codename ‘Cyprus 5G,’ will have 4GB of RAM and operate on Android 11.
The Moto G51 5G is expected to come with a triple camera arrangement that includes a 50MP primary sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle sensor, a 2MP macro sensor, and a 13MP selfie camera. When it comes to the phone’s display, we know it will have a Full HD+ resolution.
We’ll learn more about the product in the coming days, as the firm will undoubtedly create some buzz before the anticipated debut.
